A bit about me:
I am currently in my last year at McGill University, studying in the K/Elementary Education program. Teaching has always been a dream of mine as some of my greatest memories were created in the classroom. My desire to become a teacher has been reinforced by the relationships I had developed with my past educators. As I progress in my career, I aspire to create and develop similar experiences with my future students. I hope to be a positive role model for my students; one that will inspire students to feel confident, ambitious, successful and ready to learn.
I am interested in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Art, Environmental Studies as well as English Language Arts. I particularly enjoy painting, drawing and creating; therefore, I would like to share those experiences with my future students. Along with my love for art, I enjoy reading, writing, doing physical activity and helping others. Originally, I had wanted to pursue my educational career in the field of psychology as I was interested in the brain and believe that I could help individuals in that way. While I am still fascinated with the brain and its functions, after six years of having my mind set on Psychology, I decided to apply to the K/Elementary program. I knew that being an educator is what I had always truly wanted to do and it would still permit me to help those around me. Once I will have completed my Bachelor in Education, I would like to complete my Masters in either Speech Therapy or Environmental Studies. The completion of both a Bachelors and a Masters would allow me to practice two fields that I am passionate about.
